Wash and wax day - daring the rain.

Damn, that's a lot of metal - I normally do it over 2 days.

Have you considered late 80 fenders? Since you got rectangular headlights and all that, might be your style. Not a fan of horizontal myself

I like the "high hood" style as I have only owned 1 square
with the sloped fenders, a '91 Suburban.

I actually prefer your round eye style, but, that is not what they were offering on the Sierra Classic trim level in '80.

Gotten used to it, I guess.

Replaced the 30 year old Carter AFB with an new Edlebrock AVS. Too much sitting had varnished the AFB up. Still if not started for two weeks, float bowls dry up and requires extended cranking or priming to start. Any simple solution for this?

Use ethanol free gas if you can find it.

Had to fire it up again. Drove around the block.I pulled back in the driveway real slow then gave it a little throttle and broke'em loose. I'm sure I don't have posi track but, still both spun. Gotta love a BBC. Lol

Trim fell off tail gate. Actually I helped it the rest of the way off.

You're havin fun, huh Doug!

Yeah, actually I am. I gotta couple things to fix before I can get the safety inspection and get plates and tags. Can't get plates and tags with China virus going on right now anyway.

No horn. So air horn will be here next week. Brake lights and pass side blinkers quit working. One license plate light don't work. I'm sure there's a couple other things too. Like exhaust lol

There is a ground connection behind the passenger side rear tail lamp.
First remove the lens, then remove the housing. The ground wire should be attached near the lower outside of the fender right behind the tail light housing.

Here is mine - the push button activates it, and when in the mood to function correctly : :anitoof:

1) push in and hold to slow down the cruise speed
2) push in briefly and release to increase speed in 1 MPH intervals.

I fired mine up to check alt voltage. The neighbor was out playing basketball with his sons and his daughter was riding her bike around. I gotta jump outta them and a scream from the little girl. Lol

Her brother said why'd you scream? She said it scared me. Then he said No, that's cool. Ha, like this kid.

My SS gets her too.

Anyway I got a 5.86 reading at idle. So idk if that's right or not. I put the trickle charger on it because it's been a while sense I ran it for a good bit. I'll check it better this weekend but, I need a reason to start it every day because I love the way it fires right up with the open headers. Then it's a must to give it a couple quick loud raps for everyone to hear. Before I cut it off I had to give it a more couple quick loud raps. Lol
5.86 is not good!!
