I hate the drums on my truck. In fact I hate drum brakes in general. Thinking of converting my drums to disc. I found a kit from CPP and wondering if any of you have used it? I'm hoping that you don't have to pull the axles in order to install. I'd rather not have to do that if it's possible.

Advice is appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Because they are dumb. Seriously, they are a pain in the arse to work on. Discs are so much easier. And they look and work better too.

...and they don't lock up when driving in rain. I also agree. Four wheel disc brakes out perform.

I have the CPP rear disc kit on my 87 GMC Stepside. The kit works great but the only bad was that the rotor was very thick and took up almost a 1/4 inch of the wheel stud so I need to get longer studs juts to be safe. Here are some pics...

And yes you need to remove the axles to install the kit, its easy to do.
