3/16” brake line to rear?

My 85 Chevy k10 originally had 1/4” brake line from proportion valve to rear with drum brakes. Now I have disc brakes and wondering if I could run 3/16” brake line to the rear. Reason being is proportion valve is only set up for 3/8x24 for 3/16 and I would need an adapter to go to 1/4” but if I could just use 3/16” all around including rear. Has anyone else ran 3/16” to rear? I’m just wondering 1/4” might have had more volume but assuming that’s for the old drum brakes. Thoughts ?

If the proportioning valve is tapped 3/8 24, then your problem is easily solved. Screw 3/8 24 to 1/4 flare fittings into the master. But seriously I wouldn't be asking us, I'd be asking The manufacturer,they have 1000 times our expierience with their product. If my doctor told me my arm was broken and needed pins A cast. I wouldn't be here asking what you thought.

I was asking to see if anyone has done it. I just spoke with Wilwood and they say to just run 3/16 to rear is what they recommended. I just wanted to see if anyone has already done it.
That's the route I'm taking. I have the wilwood rear calipers and master/prop. I'm just running an adapter for 3/8x24 3/16 line to the rear brake hose which is 7/16x20 or whatever the pitch is, instead of getting a 3/16 fitting that will adapt to the brake hose. That way if you ever need to replace lines, you won't have to find that oddball 3/16 line to 7/16 fitting, and all fittings will be the same throughout the system. I have everything I just haven't installed yet.
