Looks like the switch for the tailgate that permits the window from rolling up while the tailgate is lowered. I believe that it is supposed to be bolted beside the taillight area.

I don’t have a tailgate. It has double doors any other ideas of what it could be for?

Some sort of cb or radio antenna attachment. Were does the other end of the wire go?
With the wire having that black casing around it I don't think its original.

The cord looks aftermarket. Factory stuff is always bare wire(s) covered in plastic or cloth-like loom but yours looks like it’s encased in molded rubber (like a household 110v cord).
