Well I got the floor finished and it look great, I think it'll look even better once I get the clear coat on it. A friend said he has the same floor and oil and any other fluid wipes right up.

It is BLUE though lol. In some lights its dark, then others its light. I can tell right now that the butter cream colored wall paint has to go. I have been worrying about this cause I want everything to flow.

I'm thinking a silver for the walls, with a ton of that silver flake in it and maybe even some glaze over it. Then bright white for the baseboards and trim. Because nothing really goes with dark blue besides plain grey and anything else would be too dark.

WHat do you think about silver and white?

(In some of these pics it was still drying so you'll see places where I overlapped and they eventually smoothed out).

I panicked a little when I realized that my floor looks like the deep blue sea lol, but I think with the right wall colors I can bring it around.

Wow that looks man. The blue isn't that bad, probably not my first choice for a floor color but I'm sure you'll tie it all together in the end.

Well hated the blue in the sunlight. Made a quick trip to lowes and came back with epoxy grey and some clear coat.

Like the grey much better. Tomorrow I'll put the clear coat on and by then I'll have $500 in this floor. Money wasted and lesson learned

Even on large objects such as doors, beds, cabs, to prime and repaint.

If you want to blast body panels, you should actually use something more like a soda blaster. Sand is to rough of an aggregate to use on thin sheet metal with any kind of pressure that will do any good.

That floor looks great. But... if you're worried about it flowing??? How about light soft blue walls, then you can paint little green and silver fishies on the wall, and a couple biggo Marlins jumping out the water, and some cool looking ducks, seagulls flying around at higher parts of the wall and ..... I think that would flow real good with that floor.

EDIT** OH nevermind. you painted it gray. That should be one hell of a coating on the floor now. Damn, and I was gonna add, you could paint the Time Bandit and Cornelia Marie from Deadeliset Catch on the 2 side walls too.

Living On The Edge playing over the garage stereo would be cool too.

Yeah it is. I actually liked the Blue. But 1low kinda cracked me up when he said the color of the walls didn't flow. So I thru up some ideas, just to notice in a latter post he painted over the blue. :sad72:

Well the house is officially ours now, after a lot of waiting and pushing people to do their jobs and get everything sent in. Got the keys today.

Only brought two truckloads over, My wife, baby and I all have strep throat and fever so...

Anyway we had the carpet people come out and steam clean everything, and tomorrow I'll be moving more over and then Saturday I have my two trucks, 2 16' lowboys, and a couple other trucks and buddies to help move so the goal is to be fully moved in by end of sunday.

Bout a week ago
