Anyone have a part # on a 84 K10, 208 transfer case tail housing? It seems that dealers can only look up a part anymore if you have a vin #, and of couse it doesn't help me because my truck is to old.

you mean the adapter that bolt to the end of the trans and to the front of the transfercase? Because a 4wd will not have a taillhousing. just the adapter to the t-case

4wd do have a tail housing on the back of the t-case, depending on model a config (i.e., slip yoke or fixed yoke).

that's tail housing on the transfer case not the transmission. I said tailhousing on back of trans before t-case. I know the transfer case has a tailhousing. I'm thinking he is calling the transfer case adapter a tailhousing. In 4wd you have trans, adapter, t-case with it's tail housing be it fixed yoke or slip. 2wd you have trans, with tailhousing long or short etc.

LOL yes, yes he did I missed that part. I had been talking with him on transfer case and trans swaps going from 700r4 to th350 and got mixed up.

that' s alot for a t-case hosuing end you could buy the whole case for that much I'd think, complete

Yeah, those prices are kinda ridiculous. It's probably a $20 part at a pick and pull.

wished they had some of those here, nobody has any older trucks or cars in any junkyard here, there's one about 30 minutes and they want war prices for em. A 5 lug 2wd rear end 350, non posi. driveshaft for the rear 65.
