That truck is a peach. If it wasnt so far away I would get it. How often do you see a truck like that, badged as a 400cid V-8, A/C, tilt wheel, cruise...and all on a '76 model! I think 76 had the Dana 44 front axle instead of the Corporate 10 bolt. Yep, if I lived within a couple hundred miles of that I would call him and tell him SOLD!

I could probably only muster the money for the truck. I have no idea how the hell I would get it home lol.

Must have been a good deal, its been deleted. And yep, a 76 has Dana 44 front axle if its OEM fo buh fo. If a manual trans, it also has NP205 trans case, but if auto its a NP203.

It was auto, I have a 85 with a 305 and 4 speed manual, i have the crappy gm axles im sure, im not sure how to identify the font but i know the rear is the gm corporate 10 bolt. Should i have the 203 or 205?

The front, if it's a 10 bolt has a mostly oval cover/bolt pattern. The D44 has the typical offset cover shape found on other danas. You can google "axle identification" and then click "images" at the top and get a pic with all the different style covers to help easily ID what you have. I believe 77 and older trucks didnt use the double cardan front driveshaft and had u-joint yokes on the front of the t-case, instead of the flange for the DC joint. As for your t-case, it is more than likely a chain-drive NP208, not a gear driven 203 or 205.
