engine skip in overdrive

guys im kind of new on here but I think im doing this right.. just bought an 84 k10 with 350. wondering why in od if you give it too much gas it starts cutting out and almost like the carb is overloading? wondering if maybe somebody else has had this same problem?

I would check the dist. cap for moisture.

Probably could use a set of plugs too, it's missing because in OD there's more of a load on the engine..

makes sense! I just bought it yesterday, so I haven't really got to mess with it much. drove it to work this morning and started noticing it. thanks again for the info.
