I finally got to do the rear disc brake conversion on my 84 K30.

Looks like you need a shackle flip too.

Up and running. I got the front caliper option because they were cheaper so I'm going to have to go with a line lock for a E-brake. I should be gotten the rear calipers. I'm not crazy about the lift blocks either.
I'm going to have to contact ORD and see what options I have regarding the shackle flip. It has a Skyjacker 6 inch lift on it so have to figure out how the suspension geometry works out with the shackle flip.

I'm thinking about doing the same thing, what is the cost to upgrade to disc brakes? and is it hard to do?

Do the discs actually work better than the massive K30 drum brakes?

Also, do your homework before using a line-lock system instead of a traditional parking brake. You certainly don't want to use anything where a solenoid must be kept energized.

It's about $335.00 for the kit from Ruffstuff specialties. It's a bolt on kit that takes a few hours to accomplish.

I'm going to find an old school mechanical valve type. I don't like the idea of any solenoid line lock valves either.
