I think that's exactly what it is. It's an old log splitting wedge is what it appears to be, and I think Oregon is also known for logging and firewood processing equipment.

Not to look dumb, but is that a log splitter?

Yes thats vintage log splitter made by Oregon. There's someone on ebay selling the exact same thing for $20.

IIRC, that's not what you'd call a vintage log splitter. It's called a splitting wedge. A log splitter is an actual machine that will split logs under it's own power.

You'd be surprised. Washing Powder works even better. It will cut the grease and grime. Why not use carb soak for those small carbs?

You'd be surprised. Washing Powder works even better. It will cut the grease and grime. Why not use carb soak for those small carbs?


Formula not strong enough. I have 2 carbs that I soaked in it and still wont right. 1st rebuilt and soaked twice and leaks gas after shutting it off. 2nd rebuilt and soaked and runs like crap. I was told by several people on small engine forms to get away from the chemical dips and use a heated ultrasonic cleaner.

Here's solution I'll be using.

This is the welder I got in trade for the 67 Ford F100 project truck. Its a Lincoln Pro Mig 140. Its also welds stainless steel and aluminum.
