I got a neighbor who works with these guys and he told me to give them a call. They had a good running 5.7 TBI just pulled out of an 87 K5. I am waiting for a call back on it. $450. And it's 2 miles from me.

If I had the 2K and lived within a 100 miles or so, I'd be getting that dude !!! Its got all the good stuff. 14b FF, Dana 60 Front, Th400 with NP205 and a small block. A good price for a SRW 1 ton Crew IMO if it only has the normal rust and interior is fair to good.

IMHO, the small block kills it. That's just too much truck and not enough motor, so it's always working hard and there's no fuel savings over a big block. A 292 six would be cool, but they drink the fuel too.

I think it's the old saying "the sum of its parts is worth more than it is whole". There's some good goodies there, I wish I coulda picked up something like that for $2000.

What's the difference between that truck and a 3/4 ton Burb with a 350? 2 feet of frame and bed is about it. That 400 trans is a 3 speed right? Boo....
