    Hi Guys,I am ready to put a Hughes built 700 in my 85 K1500. I got a while back and it was out of a 92 Burb with a 6.2. with 3k before the motor let go. Question is should I put a govenor for a gas motor in or leave the low rpm diesel one in. Also where can I source one if needed??

    Front 10 bolt rebuild

    Got the frt diff torn down readdy for 373s to match the rear i did a couple of weeks ago.Got a set of cherry gears for 75$,new bearings,balljoints and some used rotors Ive had for a while that are not under spec like the old ones.Axle tube seals to boot.Heres a pic of the naked frt rear.

    Speedo gear change

    After going from 273s w/a 31.50 15 to 373s with 33s the speedo is way off,like 85 mph @ 55. Local speedo shop wants $100 to get it right.Isint there a formula to get me in the ballpark like what color gear to use.Speedo guy says there is a unit to go inline with cable.Anyone done this swap?

    Vibration after lift

    Well The 4in lift is in and now I got a vibration @ around 30mph,feels drive shaft related.The kit came with shims for the rear springs.Should I nose the pinion angle up with them or let it be??     Got my 4in lift done today.Found some other issues while working on it like lower ball joints shot.     steering link for a 4in lift

    So i got my 4in rancho lift kit sittin in the bed of my truck.Springs,blocks,u bolts 6 shocks ect.My man says I need a drop link to get the steering geometry OK.What route do yall reccomend,He says the 3 bolt arm is the way to go.Boss says yup and give me 60$ more and he can order it.
