Back from Oregon

Well the truck ran great and had a blast,delivered the boat.Went to picknpull this am to get my gears and they were still there.Pulled them out and went to pay.Last time when I got my axle shaft I got a quote from the old lady cashier,she told me 46.95 plus tax,core and enviormental fee.came to around 55.00 or so bucks.When I went to pay the new guy says 117.00 I say WTF.He says its 46.95 for each gear I says WTF you gotta be kidding me I can buy NEW gears @ Summitt for 150.00 He says go for it and put the gears in the core bin.I told him where he could put the gears fliped him off and split.Next time I go I gotta wear a disgiuse,FN AHOLES..

I'd just call the old lady up and tell her that the new guy is costing them business.

Hey crazy,373s for a 10 bolt.I am just gonna get the gears @ summit like I did with the rear diff.It just pisses me off about pnp so I had to rant,Thanks for yalls ears.BTW Oregon is a lot like West by God,did some back packin there in the late 70s and went to Stompin76 in Galax in uh 76.Beautifull country..

10 bolt rear or front? I'm beginning to think the only way I'm going to get anything out of my old axles is to part them out.

The gears are the same only diff in the diffs is the pinion seal.The gears wiil swap.

I figure shipping a 20# box from here to there wouldn't be too cheap though. They're 3-series Motive gears, not the best choice IMO for a rear axle, but a front end they would be ok.

I think Oregon would be a little nicer than around here, it's gotten pretty bad in the last 10 years or so. The National Forest and protected areas like that are still nice but everyone wants to dump their roofing shingles or meth making waste, or other trash in the woods these days.
