I definitely like my chevys! Parts for a older trucks running a carb and no computer. It took me a long time to figure out what went wrong I just was doing preventative maintenance then it wouldn't even fire up. I have had good luck with precision from oriellys and lifetime warranty. I had one...
I had a problem when I put new bed sides on and just attached the ground to the bed sides behind the taillamp with a bolt and nut after sanding down the paint and all lights work fine
Just got a 94 short bed standard cab Chevy after I got done with the 84 c10. I did a little preventative maintenance and ended up getting bad parts from oriellys. Spent over a week trying to figure it out. After I got it driving home the check engine light came on so next day I hooked it up to a...
Was going to go for a ride and checked the trans fluid before I was about to leave and when i pulled out the dipstick it broke towards the end close to the full mark. Anyone else had this happen?
I definitely agree I'm a edelbrock guy all the way. I learned everything just by working on my 84. Ask some guys you know what they like to set the timing at and I bet every one says something different even if its stock lol
That would be a lot of work man! I build all my trucks by myself so it takes a while. I can't wait to get my 53 running. I always lower everything anx was going to use a s10 frame but I think I'm just going to redo what's there even though I hate kingpins.... Lol
I been messing with my 92 350 trying to figure out where it runs the best I put a new edelbrock intake and carb. Msd distributor and wires, new cam/lifters, gear drive and electric fuel pump. Seems like everything you read or hear is different lol. What do you all run on ur old small blocks?
I did a flip kit on mine and used air shocks and did not cut the frame at all. As long as you can keep air in them it rides very smooth and the frame doesn't hit the axle at all
Damn man that sounds very bad! I woulda left my friend in there he probably woulda been safer than if he crashed my truck lol. I have a 53 Chevy truck I'm doing next I love those trucks. It's my grandpas old truck and been in the family since before I was born
My trans was leaking then just all the sudden stopped and was going to swap it all out but now that it's not probably just leave it be. Sucks cause now its overfull lol
Yes gear drive and of course it's noisey lol. I did that with a comp cam can't remember specs but both of those with black widow exhuast sounds very good. Just got it all together pretty much the grille is just a stock 84
Since this virus has been around I been working non stop on my truck. Just got done doing a new cam, gear drive, new exhaust, new dizzy, tires, front bumper, and couple other things. It sounds awesome and enjoying it as my daily driver
My 84 C10 came factory with a 305 and I swapped it out for a 1992 350 that I put a mild cam and gear drive in. It has the stock 84 700r4 and convertor. I have a 92 700r4 with a stock torque convertor that came with it and was matched to a 350. Should I get a new convertor? I'm going to rebuild...
So recently I put a new cam and lifters in and when I went to put the very rear drivers side intake bolt in and torque it the bolt just started spinning so I stopped and left it. Got the cam broke in and then noticed the leak after. It's not real bad but need to fix it. Wondering what everyone...
