I would have done them same thing, maybe not that low of an offer, but time you add in gas if they won't meet you and such.

No way would I pay $200 for a unknown and unknown useage picker when I can buy one new for that price.

I honetly think the ones that don't fold up are more stable. Maybe its me cuz I am used to the non folding unit, but I have been at bud's houses where they used a fold up one. They didn't seem as tight to me. Ask him for a pic too Dave. If you look at HF, the differance between a 1 ton and a 2 ton, is the 1 ton uses a 3 ton jack and the ton uses the 8 ton jack. So if it looks like its made out of the same material as the 2 ton but is a 1 ton, get it. You can always upgrade to the 8 ton jack for about $50 if you decided you need too

I didn't think much of the hoist in your link but trolled a few forums and Bluebird is considered a good brand.

That's not a bad price. I think it'd be worth it to try it out and see how it works, take it out and hook to your bumper and lift the truck up with it lol.

If not then stick with the autozone or advanced, whichever store you have close to you. I bet even pep boys or check or whatever has em.

That bluebird hoist is race track engine hoist.

Autozone keeps the duralast fold up in stock here. I called the other week and they have in stock.

I dont trust buying fold up from HF. I would have better trust worthy with the duralast one.

$75 for that BlueBird is probably the deal I'd take. Pretty much $100 is the cheapest used ones I've seen and this for the HF fixed non folding type. I never knew the name brand of mine, but it identical to Skysurfers hoise with the badge on it. Same color, jack, and all. I did not buy mine at HF either. I've had it for over 18 years.
