All good, Doing this kind of thing isn't my "Field" of nerd level per say. lol. I bought this truck 10 years ago as a Basket case, found out later on it was an "uncommon" now rare... 1/2 ton diesel, and started from there. I never thought it'd be this difficult to find a small item such as this. I have a contact who has what i need but has not gotten around to it yet.

As for your neighbor... Age is getting to me and I'm only 27... Lol. I do that sometimes to. Hence why all the NOS stuff has skyrocketed, cuz they know it's miles better than aftermarket in many cases. Flaring is on my list to do.

I agree 100% with what what @77Dmax said. The NOS stuff is skyrocketing because it gets more rare everyday. If there are 100 NOS whatevers, as soon as someone buys and uses 1 now there are only 99 left. Some of them there weren't 100 spares new when the vehicle was produced. Restoring cars,really restoring isn't easy,or cheap,we had to have leather made at Connely leathers in England and flown to Kansas City, pricessed through customs in the correct Color and grain for my Dad's 57 Eldorado Biarritz. But his seats are as original as can be. Good luck with your restoration,but locating stuff isn't always easy or cheap,and sometimes you have to make or have parts made and somethings you search for year's to find.This 8s why I get annoyed with the I completly restored my whatever,it is tge wring color,wrong wheels,wrong interior well actually nothing restored I bought a bunch of stuff and used it in my car. Cool! But not restored.

For sure, I know all that you mean and there is a point in time where as a Purist like myself and others, we must step back and decide, OK. Do i want to continue for another 2, 4, 6 + years "trying" to locate one of these or that, or just give in.. and buy it new-aftermarket when nobody except me and maybe 2 or 3 of your closest friends would know about it. As of lately. Smaller Cosmetic things i am buying new... like trim, door pull straps, etc Thankfully, i have a set of 4 NOS Covers for them, otherwise i'd buy new as well. But i agree overall too.

I have been contemplating getting one of these. Wonder if the Harbor freight ones are any good. I have one local to me. Even though i do also have Amazon Prime 1-2 day delivery.

If that doesn't work out, as has been mentioned, it would be simple to get a cheap flaring kit and tubing bender, and make them yourself.

Yep, i know they make them too. But i am pretty sure they are just In-line tube branded. USA1 has them too, but the same deal. I was told TH400s are longer. I just contacted them to verify if they'd know. I suppose For brand new, i could always Tweak them.,
