Whats this purpose and where does it land?

I found this plastic tube/line melted in the engine bay? It goes behind the plastic firewall cover which I would rather avoid removing.

If it's a hollow tube,it's the vacuum line for your heater controls

Yep, it’s hollow.

It’s a hard plastic material but I don’t see where it connects from point A to point B.
