What new tools have you got lately?

99% of the time I can and do pop tie rod ends, ball joints etc. without a pickle fork, the pickle fork 99% of the time destroys the boots. If you put pressure with a pry bar on the joint trying to pry it apart. The nut backed down to the last 2 or 3 threads on joint. Smack hard with a hammer,( not a little household claw hammer) smack the SIDE!!!, of the junction hard with a decent size hammer while holding a little pressure,the vibration from the hammer blow will pop the joint out. No joke works better than a pickle fork 99% IMHO even not talking about saving boots. Talking number of hammer smacks. Pry down 1 good smack done. Vs. Place pickle fork smack,smack again, smack again.

We do the same with hammer and pry bars, but use an air hammer for the stubborn ones.

If the joint is really stuck you're gonna have to replace it if you use a pickle fork on it. It will distort the socket seat and/or the ball

After a tool cleaning and inventory, I noticed a wrench size gap that I needed to fill so I don't have to drive 20ish miles to borrow one.
Got a mixed manufacturer group consisting of these...11/16, 13/16, and a 15/16 on the auction site.

As part of our circus act in Columbus for the GoodGuys show (assembling a squarebody from almost nothing to a mostly complete truck in 3 show days), there were a good many tools that were donated that came home with us and were divvied up amongst the guys. I'm the only one without a hammer/dolly set so I got this one
