Ok, not car tools per se, and not as cool as you fella's SnapOn hauls, but new to me (and been wanting for awhile). Had one I have no idea where it came from, but was DNCCP made and was literally 1/8" out of square. Went out with the recyclables last week.
Swansons....Made in USA. 12" and a 7". Even has a book (I needed more pictures - but hey, we cant all be blessed).

I've been using a Swanson Speed Square since 1975. It was the only one available until their patent ran out, about 40 years ago.
Never cared for their book much. I use Full Length Roof Framer by A. F. J. Riechers, originally printed in 1917, and still available.

The booklet that came with the squares is semi-pointless IMO. Will find its spot in a drawer, probably never to be touched again. Best 3 books I ever bought were "The Efficient Carpenter", "Graphic Guide to Frame Construction" and then (my favorite) a 'Rafter Reference' manual that I use alot. Maybe 30 pages but shows the angles on how to figure and make your own trusses - in particular for a gambrel roof. Used it when I built my shed from scratch and it worked perfectly. I'll look up that Full Length Roof Framer one also.

My latest haul. My old 70's torpedo heater finally gave up for good. This one has the most reviews and good ones. I struggled with the old one for YEARS, freezing cold and trying get that old one started. Now it's instant heat and it can run like 6 different types of fuel.
Also ate some snapon tax, finally got tired of beating on my chrome sockets, got a full set of 3/8 drive SAE impact sockets, had to buy the 1/4 inch seperate. Also got the slickest seal puller ever. 2.5 lb slide hammer with a little j-hook, got a little tapered screw coming as well.

Used to use one of those dragon heaters at work, just like that. That thing was great.
Wed heat up a 40ft x 100ft long room from 0° to about 60° in an hour or so.
If set the bucket of mud right infront of it, and I'd be soft as baby **** in no time.
Loud as hell though, damn that thing sounded like a jet engine ready to take off. We used diesel I think, fumes weren't too bad. Good tool.

My neighbor just tossed one of those heaters.
Scavenger that I am, I grabbed it from the curb and took it apart. Air pump was grenaded.

So, I "invested" $20 between a pump and a filter kit. It took a few other tweaks. Like putting the burner can in an arbor press to square up the baffle. Lord knows how they pulled that out, but it works pretty good now.

This one is a 70K BTU and it's been working okay, but the tank is not that clean and it tends to starve out and quit sometimes. Let it sit for a bit and it gets back to business for a bit until it repeats the performance. When the weather is a little warmer, I'll chase after cleaning it.
We also recovered a 155K BTU unit that had been abandoned at a job site. Really nice piece, but it will roast your biscuits if you're not keeping after it. Great for creating a baked enamel finish on things too.
