1979 Dually 4.1-1 final drive 4L80e trans, Long exhaust headers.
Bottom end stock, fuel propane.
@ 60mph about 1900 rpm If I did the numbers correct.( Have a TH 400 now will replace with the 4L80e
Cilinder heads 118 cc openchambers , 4 bolt main.
Am looking for about just 8 psi boost , Maby a bit more if the pistons can have it .
Propane has a octane rating of 105-110 So that is good.
Looking for a good flat tappet cam with a rather low range powerband, 2000-5500?? with a redline of 6000-6500
Just for street no strip, Just want to annoy the 4 banger GTI drivers with there 6 inch fartcan exhaust tips.
Live in the Netherlands so a lot of those here .
Hoping for a 0-60 mph in 6 sec but that might be a bit to much to expect .

Man, I don't know what cam would work well for that, but I want to see video when it's done and you're working that big beast through those tiny european streets :favorites13:

I'd call one of the major cam companies and talk it through with them. It's not that crazy of a setup, they can probably recommend one pretty quickly.

Also, what is a 4L80A?? Do you mean a 4L80E?

The first one you listed will be better off.
The second on is more on the wild side.
But I don't know much about putting a cam into a blower motor.

I would do what @Bextreme04 mentioned and call the cam company and talk to one of their specialists to get you exactly what you want the first time.

Have you flow tested your heads? gonna be a guessing game otherwise.

Intake head pressure vs exhaust backpressure is the deal here.

Blowers and turbos want more exhaust duration.

If you have good flow through the power adder(really efficient and low head pressure) then youll be ok with a smaller lobe separation but if you have a poorly flowing head youll need the scavenging that a higher degree of separation provides

At that low of boost you probably wont overrun your heads and would be fine with a cam designed for an NA engine. This may help your daily driveablity.

Thanks
The original cilinder heads are those GenV heads , with small ports .
I got a reply from compcams , They say the second cam would be best

232-237 with 114 lobe separation even when the powerband is a bit on the high site
