YUP,accelerator pump`s the usual suspect,could be bad points if`fn its old enough.

Hell I dunno. This whole truck project truck is new to me. So start with the pump? Would that be apart of a rebuild kit? Or would it be better to buy a new edelbrock?

A carb kit comes with the accel. pump,those are a very simple carb,follow the instructions to a T and You`ll be OK.

Assuming gas is in the carb bowl open the throttle and watch and see if you get a nice shot of gas in the two front barrels

Would be best to get a Quadrajet from SMI carburetor if the rebuild does not work.
