Ok, I have a 1991 GMC Jimmy. Obviously full-size. I needed to change the rear u joint where the driveshaft meets the yoke on the rear. Well, I went to Advance Auto and none of their U Joints would fit. So, I went back to the garage and just stared at my driveshaft in disgust. The previous owner had painted the driveshaft silver. So, I realized the end of the driveshaft where the ears are that hold the u joint had been welded. The welds didn't look factory so I picked it up and spun the driveshaft inspecting the weld and noticed there was a sticker on the driveshaft that had been painted over. I stripped the paint off the sticker an all I can make out is "Dana Corp Spicer U JT Div 1818 2600" there is 2 more numbers in front of the 1818 but I can't make them out. Can anyone shed some light on this for me?
