changing my th350 k10 to an sm465 anything to watch out for transfer case in 27 spline np208

i have an 85 parts truck but using the t/c off the th350 and a linkage clutch

What spline is the 4spd? It can be either 10 or 32 spline.

For a 208 you'll need a 32 spline input shaft, the correct adapter and a 4spd with a long 32 spline output shaft.

A 208 will be 27 spline as far as I know, except behind a turbo 400? Or a factory 32 spline 4 speed.

Im not sure if the sm465 had a 27 spline option or not. Your biggest issue will be the transfer case adapter, im pretty sure you can find an adapter sleeve to do what you want. ORD has some.

The 208 input spline is determined by the transmission -

4spd or th400 = 32 spline
th350 or th700 = 27 spline

10 spline was never available in a 208 but it was in the 4spd depending on the year and tcase.

The 4spd never used a 27 spline tailshaft.
