Found this truck locally on CL: http://phoenix.craigslist.org/evl/cto/4672351149.html

While I'd ideally like another K5 or K30, this one has caught my eye. What tranny would've been OE in '89 for a 3500....4L60E...or 80?

Pros:

3500 - CC - LB
It fuggin huge...
Dual tanks (size unknown)
Looks clean, newer paint
Just over 100K mi (low mi to me for an '89)

Cons:
MPG...
2WD...
Ugly mirrors
It's fugging huge...
Dually, albeit with a fleet side bed....was that OE or an aftermarket conversion?

Price wise what are some thoughts? I'm thinking if it looks good I'll wave $5K in front of him and see if he bites...or shoot for $5500 and sell the topper for $500?

Plans would be to replace the mirrors and drive the sum ********....I can't see anything else I'd want to change anytime soon.

I would agree with it being a cab and chassis rear axle but it is not a cab and chassis truck.

a cab and chassis is longer than a long bed

looks like the widened the wheel wells and put the cab and chassis rear axle in it

sweet truck, but it only has a turbo 400, so keep in mind gas mileage prob sucks

Wasn't worried about MPG per se, but not liking the TH400.....
