While working on my suburban recently I happened to notice the front drive shaft seems to be backed out the slip yoke. There's also a fair bit lateral play(i can move the shaft side to side). I'm no expert but this seems like a no-no. No lift or other mods, so I'm kinda at a loss at where the extra distance is coming from. Worn splines??

The length looks fine, definitely kind of close to full extension but you would never have a problem.

If you've got wiggle the splines need rebuilt, any decent driveshaft shop can do it for probably about $100.
