2 kicker cvt 12's in a 2 cu ft enclosure behind the seat. 1 notch forward or the subs are squeezed and play quiet

Was thinking of making a box that ran the entire back length of the cab, minus where i have my corner speakers. 5in out in the top,7-8" out on the bottom. That should give me a mounting debth of about 5in.

Picture number 1 is my old setup. I changed it all before my accident but this gives you an idea of what I had for sub box 8" on the bottom 4" on top. Two separate chambers sealed

Picture number two is what I did for a living from age 13-16

I was thinking of running 2 12"s And Have the middle recessed in to mount my amp inwards so its not smashed up against my seat.

exactly. jl is so overpriced. but hey you can put the amp under your seat no need to do a special box, besides you need all the airspace you can get....

Im planning to power them with either a 2k or a 2.5k 2ch. amp.

The amp under the seat powers the 4 corner speakers.
Its gonna get replaced by either another 400, or 2 amps.(depends on what i decide to run for speakers)

Also im gonna get a crossover to Split up the frequencys.

Don't get an amp with more than about 800 watts. Rms is the only specification you need to pay attention to. Peak power is a useless spec. Just so ya don't waste money and then blow your subs on top of it.

I've got a pair of old 10" MTX Thunder 6000's, each in their own box. I bought the subs probably 10 years ago when I was in high school and they're still going strong. Lol. They've been in 5 different vehicles so far and if it warms up enough this weekend, they're going in the K10.

I built the boxes myself and they are 5 1/4" deep at the top and 7 3/4" deep at the bottom.
