I think my box is ok on my K10, haven't drove it enough to know. I just through reading another build thread that the guy had to buy 2 different boxes to get a good one. I've seen this on several different threads and wondered what is going on with them. I know how hard it is to buy good parts now a days . butits really sucks when it comes to something that is a pain to change out. The last one I read took out the P/S pump after developing a bad leak on a trip. I know Dorman has give me a ton of problems before I stopped using anything with their name on it. Seems like what used to be good, now is crap, it's sad.

You cacan check the box on the bench with some tools. Check for play and the amount of torque required to turn the shaft. I am still not really happy with my box. Should have fully readjusted and reset it before installing

I put a new agr box on my 77 blazer , had to adjust it a bit but so far so good , have 2,000 with it .

Also a lot of guys like psc boxes
