Steel Cowl Hood Source

I just saw that AVS sells steel Square Body cowl hoods for $200.

Every othe3r place I've seen selling these hoods wants at least $600.

I'm not sure if they'll rape on shipping fees, but, it's hard to knock a $200 steel hood!

That sure seems like a hella deal. I'd have to be a bit concerned about quality for certain at that price. Made in China maybe??? We'll need to someone to get one of those and give us a quality report. Nice Find Jaymz.

I got mine brand new in a box delivered to me for 350, I think it's AVS.

Is it even possible to get body parts for these trucks anymore that aren't made in China or Taiwan other than getting lucky and finding OLD parts that are still rust free and in good shape? I doubt you'll find brand new not made in China or Taiwan....

I been looking for a cowl hood for awhile, lowest i can find is 300 with 99 shipping. I guess i am waiting to the All truck Nationals or Bloomsburg so i can bring it home with me.

Carlisle Pa. Every summer. The other site i belong too, Chevy Truck World goes every year. Its good event, it has gotten smaller in the past few years though. But still a good show with a good swap meet area. Of course Super Chevy at Maple grove speedway kicks ass.

I gotcha. I was just curious cuz my truck club hosts a Midwest All Truck Nats every year here in KC the weekend right after Labor Day weekend in September. Wasn't sure if you were referring to that or not. Also a GREAT show and continues to get bigger every year

I've heard of the Carlisle show from folks on the FSC board....
