Silverado fender emblems $109 per?

I'm finishing off my purchasing for my '82 and realize I should have bought these a few years back.

$109 per side? Did LMC start making these out of platinum or something? The big CHEVROLET tailgate emblem is only $65.

I thought I remembered about 5 years back when I made out my wish list that these things were about $40? Anybody know why they're so expensive?

Maybe they are kind-of rare? All I know is I just picked up a set at the junk yard for $5. I had to re-paint the black on them and use double-sided tape but they turned out damn good. Keep an eye out at the local junk yards, you never know what might come up! If your building a 1/2 ton then you will have an easier time finding a set, my one-ton was a huge stroke of luck!
