These are 15x7s on mine. I would have preferred 16x8 but it is what it is.

I think I’m going to at least try the aluminum wheels. The only problem is tires, I don’t have any good 16” tires. The ones that are on there are old and just about worn out, but I can still ride on them. They would look good with a new set of mudders on them. Maybe someone would trade tires with me lol.

I had 16x6.5 steelies and I liked the look of them. The 285/75 tires were pushing it on the 6.5” wheel. I almost got some 8” wide steels but they were quite a bit more than the American Racing 16x8” wheels and I wanted to see if I could notice a difference in feel.

So I gave the aluminum ones a shot. I found them for $108 each new. They’re half the weight of my steelies. Rotational mass is the most important mass to reduce on your truck, but it’s not a huge difference like on something more performance oriented. Your suspension, braking and acceleration will all improve—marginally.

Mine is a square eye and yours is a round eye. I think that does make a difference. For a round eye, I still think I’d pop for the 15 or 16x8 steels.
Now that’s something I hadn’t considered, the performance aspect. I’d take any improvement I could get in the ride and braking departments, as my truck isn’t exactly award winning in this areas. Acceleration isn’t all that important to me.

Or. OR, I could run the old tires for a couple weeks, put my 31’s on my rally’s and sell them as a set, sell my old 36’s, and buy some new 16” tires. Oh snap I might be on to something.

I hope I didn’t over sell it. It may not be very noticeable.

I like either set. Just need some white letter tires to complete them imo. oh and some rings too if you dicide to go with the rallies. Like this.

Alright here they are. I’ve made my decision, but be honest and tell me what y’all think. Keep them or sell them.

Personally I like them.

Dependent on your mood either set look good. Be nice to have two sets.

I keep one set for mostly rocks, and the other for the rest of it.

There is a factory 15x7 set for sale TWO HOURS from me. $150.
4 Caps... I don't know why my life doesn't allow for them to be...oh say, in the kitchen. With the other wheels and tires.
That's sensible, right?
235/70 & 275/60
There is a perfectly good set of 28"Cooper Cobras on 5 lugs going to waste in there... why can't I just

I like the stock ones better personally. The aluminum ones don't look bad but they don't fit the truck's "personality" as well. You said you have a set of rally wheels laying around, why aren't you using those? They look awesome IMO. Don't worry about them looking out of place with 31s, they don't. I had 31s on my rally wheels for the longest time before I finally got a set of 33s.

I used the rally’s for a while but at the time I didn’t have any caps or rings. I’ve since bought a set of center caps for them, but the trim rings I ended up with don’t fit. Ive got a couple different sets of wheels and tires and I’m thinking about trying to trade for some 31x10.50 or 32x11.50 MT or AT to mount on the rally’s and just have 2 sets of tires and wheels.
