The floor on my Suburban has rusted out just in front of where the tailgate sits. Of course no one makes a replacement panel for this area but I've been looking at a couple of companies who sell generic replacement panels for truck beds of the same era. I'm wondering if a section of truck bed would work as a replacement panel in my Suburban?? Does anyone know if Chevy used the same design of ribbing in the truck beds as was used in other vehicles of similar age? I can provide pictures of the area in question.
Being all the way down here in New Zealand it's not just a matter of popping round to my local wreckers to look at/compare stuff. Hoping somewhere here has some experience with this.

The floors in the rear are different, but if it is a barn door suburban might be able to use truck parts. Or find someone parting out a suburban
