I got to looking at my headlights on my 85, 2 lights on each side. My questions are, Could somone post a picture of the headlight turned ON LOW beam and another picture with them on HIGH beam?

It apears that my Low beam lights are the TOP lights, and my HIGH beam lights are all 4 lights. I am thinking that the low beam is suppose to be on the bottom. So could defintly use some pictures

No sir, they are correct, the low/high beams are on the top; high beam on the bottom.

Thanks Retro. It sure seems to me the Low beam should be at the lowest point to aid in poor visability driving due to Fog, ever seen anyone change them around?

Any time. I'm sure it's been done and would be easy...But they are this way on most cars - low beam on top.

We used to put the low-beams on the bottom years ago, we also used to put the low-beams on the inside on a side by side set up also.

Could you tell any difference when driving in fog, or when it was snowing?

I will be getting a quad light setup like this installed soon. My mechanic seems to think that he can splice the existing wires on my 81 to work with the new four lights. I was willing to have him install the correct wiring harness, but he said it was unnecessary. Has anyone on here ever done this? He also mentioned two very difficult bolts on the bottom of the front clip that are hard to get off sometimes. Where are they, and will oiling them ahaed of time help with this problem?

Behind the headlight buckets, they are a real bastard to get to. Lower fender bolts. You may be able to get to the thread end that sticks through the radiator support from under the hood to hose em down with WD-40. They are one of those 1/16 turn at a time with a boxed end wrench, till it breaks kinda bolts if you know what I mean. Mine mysteriously got forgotten on reassembly.
