Hey guys, quick question.
I haven't found anything specific online.

I'm planning to lift the chassis off the frame on my 84 Suburban C20. I want to sandblast and paint the frame.
Is it possible to do that with the fenders attached or do they have to come off? The two bolt upfront behind the lights just spin, the welded nut broke lose. I tried to get a wrench in there, but it's to rusted to brake free.

You would need to properly brace the body you're removing from the frame so you don't damage it. It'll be heavy, so make sure the surface is level, your lifting/jacking equipment will remain steady while lifting the body off, and lift it off methodically, and it should go okay.

You can lift the body with the front clip attached yes. I did it to swap 2 Suburban bodies onto opposite frames. One was a round eye and the other was a mid 80's. At the time I was lucky to have access to the shop at work and used forklifts one on each side to lift them off and I set them down on four 55 gl drums on the middle.

I have a 7000lbs two post lift so that part is good. I'll weld in crossbraces.
Might try and muscle the bolt off somehow, carbide burr and patience should work.
Where it the best place to lift? Just anywhere on the rockers?
Any guesstimate on the weight of the body, doors, tailgate, backseat and hood is taken off.

You'll have to cut an access in the cab brace or hole-saw the floorpan to access the stripped cage nut that's spinning. They can be a real pain in the rear.

The front body mounts for the rad support are through bolted. You'll have to remove the grille, but it's easy enough to access.

I was able to turn the bolt by getting a pair of wise grips on it, through the side marker opening and the hole under the battery tray. Not fun.
