Noob with a question!

Been wanting a square for a while now and run across this GMC. Window said $4,500 but he changed his tune to 5k when i asked him. Anyway, Im hoping to get him down to 4k.

My question is that is 5k too much? If he won't budge on the price, will I be cutting my own throat? Clean CarFax, 350 w/manual, No rust and straight body. Just looking for as many opinions as possible! Thanks!

Personally, I think four grand is a good offer. They go for cheaper and more expensive. Where in Alabama are you? I'm in Mississippi.
