A little about myself. My names is Terry. I live in centeral Nebraska. I'm 18 years old and I bought my first square (86 GMC Sierra, its a stepside with a 305 and a 4 speed) in the fall of 2013. My love of squares came from my dads old blue 74 with a 350 and a flat bed. I plan on doing a lot of modifications to my pickup. Id like to get it done as soon as possible but i ship out to Marine Corps boot camp in July. Some of my plans include and ls swap, paint job, just a pretty custom ride designed to fit my life style.

I forgot to add that everything is paid for 100% by me. I do all the work on it. Ive put a lot of time and money into my pickup and i am super pround of it

Not trying to sound like an ass, but why wouldn't you pay for everything yourself? You are a grown adult, that's how it's supposed to be anyway.

I know what you mean but im still in highschool. I bought the truck when i was 16. So i just turned 18. But its not uncommon for other kids in my school to have their parents buy them a car or truck and pay for it to be fixed.

Ah, gotcha. I was starting to wonder if it might be common for parents to buy/repair their kids cars even after turning 18 and finishing school.

If you had a job in highschool, your doing better than the other 12 kids I graduated with. I spent 2 years of highschool in truck stop parking lots changing truck tires to pay for my projects.

Ive had a lot of jobs over the last four years. Working for farmers, life guarding, worked at subway, roofing, lawn care, im going to start working at the tire shop, and i build coolers and tables and thingd like that with my old man.

I loved working on semis. Everything is so much bigger and so accessible. I still occasionally help out in our shop if we are backed up. It's good to see a highschool kid that doesn't mind work. I have 6 siblings between 27 and 17 years old and my 17 year old brother is the only other one that has a job. I can't stand it.
