Sorry, I couldnt answer the questions for you accurately, so I'll refrain from giving you any possibly false information. I just wanted to say welcome to the forum! Hope to see some pics of the project rig. :)

There are plenty of people on here though that should be able to give you some answers. Hopefully you get what you are looking for. Cheers.

Welcome to GMSB!

I would say you could get by with either the NV3500 or an NV4500. Both were in newer Chevy trucks. You'll also need to find a set of clutch pedals out of an 85-87 truck.

I haven't done the swap so I don't know all the in's and out's of it.

Howdy!

I also have a C10 stepside, I've thought about installing an NV3500 in it. It depends a lot on if I can find one cheap enough.

Welcome to GMSB Randy. Sorry I missed your original post.

I'd go with an NV3500 for a Daily Driver half ton truck. I'm pretty sure you'll need to convert to a Hydraulic Clutch. If I'm not getting confused with another trans model, I think the NV3500 has an internal slave cylinder that is integrated with the throw out bearing is why you'd have to go with the hydro clutch.

At any rate, get a thread fired up in the proper category and I'm sure between all of us, we'll get you off in the right direction.

What part of OK are you in? I'm in good old Moore America !!!
