Hey everyone,

I finally pulled the trigger on an 86 Burb! (Attaching pic)

It’s a great project- sat for a year but I got it running. No rust. 6 inch lift!

Here’s where I am stuck:

Current interior is dark blue. Exterior is midnight blue.
To avoid painting the door jams I was thinking I would keep it the same color, but I’m not a huge fan of the blue interior.

Id love to do a saddle brown interior with a different shade of brown for the carpet, but I feel like that may not look great with the midnight blue paint.

Can I please get some suggestions and/ or pictures for what interior color would go with the dark blue? Trying to stay away from black, grey and charcoal. Im really trying to stick with a shade of brown (even though it may mean changing my paint plans)

Thanks everyone!

Brown Ferarri Seats are COOL... (and they come with heaters):

Here's the one's "The General" uses, (custom wrapped, I'm thinking?):

These are cool too:

(As a cat owner, I'm not sure my cat would ever get into the truck again, with "Kat-Zkin" seats... Rawhide Cow skin might be OK...).

The re-sale with the Ferrari seats installed, is waaaay better...

Thanks! I’m afraid to look up the price for Ferrari seats lol!

I found the shade I’m looking for and it actually looks good with shades of blue.

Can someone weigh in on if these shades are stock dash pad colors? And also are those door skins just upholstered over the stock pieces with leather?

For me, I like the blue interior - if it's good shape and not faded to baby blue. Black can look really good to but it needs to stay very clean since it'll show dirt easily.

Fwiw, if your interior is nice blue can be a little valuable as it's getting hard to find nice pieces.

I think I’m going to go with tan plastic on the interior so I will make sure I am delicate when removing the interior so I can put it up for sale here when I get to that point!

Changing the interior color of a 35 year old Suburban would be CRAZY EXPENSIVE.
I found some used bench seats out there for the first and second row and I have an upholstery guy that will do them both for $1000. I think I’m going to be around 2500 bucks for the interior all in but it’s kind of a wash because I’m getting my paint done for a cost of materials so that’s saving me about $8000 on the project.

$3k to be exact with Brazilian truck colored cowhide, and real saddle Brown distressed leather. New foam and everything and worth every penny in my opinion.
Just need the backseat mounts and piano hinge and I can get those rear bench seats mounted on the second row.

Went with the red exterior for right now on a vinyl wrap, but I’m fixing to go back to the dark midnight blue metallic and add a white stripe around the body as she was from the factory- I think it fits both color jobs pretty nicely

I think Tan or Beige would look good in it.
