Friday night the transmission in my 2007 Trailblazer 4.2 4X4 started making some terrible noises, so I shut down immediately and called AAA and got a little tow home. Its a grinding sound in happens when the vehicle is in reverse and also in drive moving over about 5 mph. From what I have read, it sounds like a bearing failure. Fluid shows signs of a getting a little hot and has a slight burnt smell.
Anyhow, I'm wondering if anyone in the Dayton/Springfield Ohio area, or someone familiar with the area (cough cough, @RetroC10Sport @bucket cough cough) would be able to point me to a good transmission guy/shop.
