Has anyone found a quality source for Muncie repair parts? Seems all the overhaul kits are on the cheap side, chinese made probably, and I just don't want to risk a catastrophic failure for a few dollars. If they are near NW PA that would be even better. Suggestions anyone? TIA, Rick
http://www.autogear.net/motorsports/ They also sell 100% new Muncies with stronger than stock cases as well as other improvements, along with a variety of gear sets including one with a 2.98 first gear.
A little late but I eventually bought from Auto Gear in Syracuse, NY..fantastic to work with! I did learn the hard way though. Originally bought from Allstate Gear in San Antonio, Texas on the reccommendation Cangialosi of 5speeds.com...smart man, excellent Muncie repair book author, piss poor at referring suppliers. Liars and thieves they are. They are deceptive in representing country of origin for replacement parts which started this whole mess. The return process was even worse and NO I did not get a full refund. About 15 calls to them with every excuse given as to why the $90.00 they still owed me was not being refunded. With the number of calls I made to them, and they DON'T return calls, I feel they deserve a good bashing on the internet. In short be leary of these ass clowns.
