Curious can I run synchromesh MTF in my 208?

I’m bolting it to an NV4500. My thoughts were if the input shaft seal were to fail on the 208, it wouldn’t destroy my nv4500.

thanks

Also, I read a method for removing input shaft seal without disassembling the 208 on Steel Soldiers. Someone said to screw two wood screws into the seal to pull it out. Anyone try that?

edit: there was ample clearance for my seal puller.

Found a TSB 04-07-30-037e that states

Any vehicle that previously required DEXRON®-III for a manual transmission or transfer case should now use P/N 88861800. This fluid is labeled Manual Transmission and Transfer Case Fluid. Some manual transmissions and transfer cases require a different fluid. Appropriate references should be checked when servicing any of these components.”

88861800
is an MTF/TC fluid...

Still trying to see if it’s safe to run what the nv4500 calls for?
