Hello,

I use my truck to load my motorcycles, but I'm not satisfied with the ramps. I attach them to the rear door with straps, but when loading or unloading a motorcycle, they tend to shift. Ideally, I’d like to have hooks on the rear door to secure the ramps, but I’m not too keen on drilling multiple holes.
Also, the ramps are made of aluminum, which is great for carrying them by hand since they’re lightweight, but on the downside, they don’t have enough weight to stay stable.
Do you have any setup examples or recommendations for other types of loading ramps? I’ve seen electric systems, but I also use this truck to transport green waste and materials, so I don’t want to limit it to just one purpose.

Thanks in advance for your advice!

Attach them together, I would bolt them together personally. Wider footprint. Then strap to each side of the bumper.

I've got an aluminum quad ramp that stays put.

I used a 2 x 12 (with a crack) this past weekend so I’m not much help. My aluminum ramp has chains which I attach to the bumper but it’s too steep angle so I opt for the 2 x 12 mostly.

Maybe attach some super strong magnets on the ends? If they have a large enough diameter, they might grab pretty hard. You'd just have to glue or bolt them to the aluminum ramps

I would make 4 J hooks out of 1 x 1/4 inch strap,2 per ramp. I've put up pictures but not accurate pictures they need to be much longer and the 2 bolt holes further apart so you can get 2 carriage bolts 2 wing nuts and some washers in each ramp and j hook through existing cut outs. I'd make my own washers to size out of pieces of 1 inch strap also.Dip them in plasti dip, or wrap them in duct tape. Hook them between the gap at the base of the tail gate

Good idea, that would avoid to drill holes in the tail gate and ensure they don't move when loading the bike. My ramp are made of alloy also which is great for weight but maybe too light to be stable when loading/unloading the bike.
I will think about your idea and update this topic.

Thanks a lot!
