Lsfab gate saver

What’s up everyone. I was wondering if anyone has or has installed a gate saver from lsfab? Particularly on an 81-87 tailgate? I have a 73 but my bed and gate are from a new square. I figured it’s an 81+ do to the gas tank filler I redone also the 81 gate cables I got from lafab fit perfect. I just wanted maybe some reference photos to make sure I’m going to do the job correctly or if I need to figure out a different way to install from the instructions. Thanks in advance everyone!

I have one but my bed is off a 75. Either way just watch their video on it. It's pretty detailed an did a good job explaining everything imo.

I haven’t yet but that’s definitely in the plans cuz my gate is a PITA to open and shut

I figured out the issue! I’ll post it as soon as I get the parts to install! I also switched from the old metal support brackets for the bed to the lsfab cables and I highly recommend!

The tre5 latch kit fixes that issue an is 1000% worth it...

I'm not sure I understand what it offers that a properly adjusted factory latch doesn't?

UPDATE: I just watched the YouTube video. I get it now. Mine opens and closed fine. I guess I'm lucky. And if it rattles, well yall seen my stereo system. lol
