Since this thread got lit up again today I'll just add this info here.Yesterday I was helping someone use a point fired distributor to trigger a GM 4wire hei module with a divorced HEI coil. Homebrewed HEI keeping the original distributor in a 66 Chevelle. Anyway was looking for some specs and came across this, not pertinant to what I was doing. But good to know for anyone running HEI,its about different resistance values on different brands of modules. Now if the resistance isn't the same, then the circuit isn't identical. Will it fit, yes, will it work, probably, will it work as good and as long as genuine GM,probably not. I'm always trying to emphasize that most people that have problems with modules aren't using GM or Napa premium modules. The rest of the problems can be tracked to missing or poor grounds or power, bad plug wires or failing coil. GM didn't use junk modules they didn't need presidential motorcades breaking down, indy pace cars dying etc. OE ignition parts were top notch from 76 on.
