So ive been doing alot of research lately, because my 350 is going hard, and i got my hands on some nice 062(ibelieve) Vortec heads from the junker. now i doubt im going to end up doing this because its just way to much to, but legend has it of building a 400ft lbs of torque, and 350 hp 350sbc for under 1500$ now me and everyone else kind of call this crap(well i have seen proof) but i just cant see it practical. So i guess the main question here, is what would i have to do to achieve this, Hypothetically, i cant see me doing it right away but i have driven one of my buddys squarebodys with a crate engine in it that has 400 torque and damn does it go. :signs1:

Well i guess well see where this gets me
Cheers, :party52:

Poke around any of the major magazine websites. I know Chevy High Performance and Car Craft have both done budget buildups using the 290hp base 350 crate engine, which it's basically what you're working with.
