I'm new to this site and have an 86 GMC High Sierra Short Bed I call "Casper" (pic) I recently obtained from someone who owed me. I've wrestled with selling it or fixing it up. It has a strong 350 with auto and it runs, drives and stops but needs some minor body work and interior work. The dash pad is in great shape with no cracks. The truck is solid and there's no rust in the rockers or cab corners. I know the SBs are becoming fewer and fewer and are gaining in popularity with continued increase in value.
I've been considering selling it as I have a 1994 GMC Sierra SLT Z71 SE ("the Metal Mistress") that I ordered and bought new which is in excellent condition with a fresh 350 engine bored 30 over (it orig. had a 305) and rebuilt transmission and many other improvements, and I'm considering selling it and use the 86 in its place as a project.
