Yesterday was the coldest its been this year so far. I fired up my truck and noticed I had no clutch.....I check under the truck and see the slave was leaking fluid from the boot.

Is it common for the temp change to cause leaks in hydraulic systems?
Should I replace the slave and call it done or repair the slave?

Also I notice that the slave sits about an inch away from my driver side header....could this be a problem?

Thanks in advance!

I would replace slave now, possibly replace the rest of the system in the spring when it warms up. It might cause premature wear being that close to the header. Can you shield it somehow? A picture would be very helpful.
