Hi-beam switch not working.

Hey everyone I hope, you’re having an amazing day. anyways, my hi beams haven’t worked since I bought the truck almost a year ago, so when I pull back the lever nothing comes on the instrument cluster and the hi beams don’t come on. Does anyone know if the problem would be involved with the hi beam switch or something else thank you. (1985C20)

Okay so I was just out at the truck is it supposed to stay pulled back and not return to its original position other than that there is a slight click.

And also it is a 85 truck

It should has a noticeable detent / click and return to its original position (front to back).

Oh okay thanks so I’m just going to replace the switch!
