Hi all, I have a pretty much unmolested yet some what rust and battered 87 Silverado V10. I have over the last month disassembled the truck. I installed inner and outer rockers and cab corners on both sides. I have a fresh 407 bbc on my run stand ready for its new life between the trucks frame rails. I also have a built up th400 to install as well. It will recieve a all but new set of 36x12.50 swampers as well. My truck is loaded.......for 87 standards with power windows and locks which i got working today. I am not new to chevys i recently renewed a 67 Chevelle and previous to that i built a v8 s10. I am currantly a moderator on S10forums. Forums with an "s". So i know how to behave. Lol

Thank you. Im carrying the torch for my brother who passed on he alway had a truck he was into the 73s and 74s I myself prefer the square light trucks. I will post up some more pics this week. Just a bit of info if anyone is interested. I had my 2 front cab mount bolts snap and thew trial and error i have some good measurements 11 inches from the steel kick panel and 2 3/4 inchen in fro where the floor starts to slope up. This will get you all but centered on the bolt. Those measurements worked out great on the pass. Side after swiss cheesing a 2x2 area on the driverside. Maybe its common knowlege on here but i thought id share it if it isnt.

Thats how she sits right now. I was going to use a Dana 20 which is pictured but the frond drive shaft angle is to much. Im currantly looking for a 208 that would bolt to my th400. Previous to installing the engine i cleaned and painted the frame. Plated it with 3/16 plate thats what all the bolts are on the back part of the frame. Replaced the front spring hangers and installed rear shackle flip brackets. Installed a 6 inch lift kit and 91 burban axles. The front houses an Eaton posi unit and has warn hubs sitting on the shelf. I also installed a 25 gallon Blazer tank out back. Also replaced all the brake lines up front. I started my rear disc set up using 92ish fullsizs Blazer front rotors with the centers machined to fit the 91 axle centers.

Looks like you're doing a great job! Amazing how close big block headers fit to the starter and between the frame rails on these old trucks isn't it? Looking at your photos really takes me back to my frame-up build along a similar path on my K20. Good luck completing your project!

The headers are accually for a Chevelle? Also with the solid mounts I had to notch the cross member for the pan and cut a sliver off the top of the frame on the driver side for one tube to clear. Now to find a transfer case.
