help me fix dash pad clips

My dash is in great shape, except on the under side where the 6 clips mount to dash near windshield. Looks like they all got torn off. I was thinking of permanently attaching them. Is that a good idea? What is the best way of going about this? I will try and post some pics....

Upon further inspection of this in the light, it appears I am an idiot.

order new clips from LMC and snap them in. A little tricky but cheap and quick.

thanks, ya, already got the clips if I can find where I put them! Last night when I was looking at it in the dark, I couldn't see the little slots for the clips to go in. Doesn't look like there were any clips ever in the slots....
