Sorry for another newbie question but id like help to identify this axle on my truck. i'm pretty sure its a D44 from what i've been reading but i figured i would ask since i can now upload pictures (or at least i'm going to try) ha. Also, I plan on using this truck for mostly playing in the mud and fields and such, nothing too super hardcore though, does it pay for me to swap in a D60 at some point down the road. currently i have a 14FF rear that will be sporting a detroit locker soon hopefully and would like to maybe lock the front in the far future. I will be running 38" swampers if that matters. thanks guys

Needs to be a better pic of the pumpkin. It's either a Dana 44 or a Corprate 10-bolt, unless someone put a D60 in it already and it doesn't look like it's big enough to me. If the cover is round it is a 10-bolt. If it is odd-shaped it is a D44.

Get a close up of just the cover. Like Crazy said if its round then its a Corp 10 bolt if the cover has a slightly oval shape towards the driver side then its a Dana 44

It's a D44.

It's not a 10 bolt because they have 2 square "ears" on the bottom of the casting at 5 and 7 o'clock (unless someonw took the time to grind them off - doubtful).

It's not a D60 because of the small knuckles, steering arm shape and 4 u-bolts.

I agree. I don't see those ears either.
